INTRODUCTION TO gLASSBLOWING

Duration: 12 hours of Glass instruction offered over 2-4 weeks. The class is broken into 4, three hour sessions.
Foundations: Learn the essential techniques and principles of glassblowing, starting with the basics.
Hands-On Experience: Roll up your sleeves and actively create under the guidance of our skilled instructors.
Safety Essentials: Begin with a safety orientation, covering tools and studio protocols for a secure learning environment.
Craft Your Creation: Put your skills to work as you shape and mold molten glass into your own unique pieces, be it an ornament or a small sculpture.
Small Class Sizes: Enjoy personalized attention in an intimate setting, fostering a supportive learning environment.

All essential materials and equipment are provided, ensuring you have everything you need for an immersive experience.
Optional Supplies: You may want to purchase a kevlar sleeve to wear to help while you get comfortable with the heat. Sleeves are easily found online and under $25
Prep for your Glass Journey: We recommend delving into a few reading materials to familiarize yourself and enhance your understanding glassblowing. A few suggestions:

Intro is offered on consecutive wednesdays and Thursdays at the Salt Lake cITY sTUDIO. we may be able to schedule other days based on availability.

We offer a discount for 2 students signing up together, and flexible *Afterpay options!
Cost: $1,200 per individual
Cost: $2,000 for 2 students enrolling together
*If you choose Afterpay there will be a +3% fee added to the cost of the class.

After completing intro you are eligible to take Glass II WHICH WILL build on the skills you gained, and prepare you become a glassblower making your own work.
After completing Glass II each student will be accessed to determine if they are ready to rent the studio independently.
