  • Q: Is experience required to Book a Blow your own?

    A: No experience is necessary for you to book an appointment. Anyone can come to our hot shop and work with our glass blowers to make hot glass items of your choosing.

    Q: Can I bring my friends and family?

    A: Sure can! make sure to book a long enought sesh for each person to be able to make the item of their choice. more details on time can be found on the book now page. if there will be six or more in your group, check out our group events page.

    Q: Is there an age limit?

    A: Anyone age 6 or older may blow their own glass at our studio (accompanied by a parent or guardian, of course!). Kids under 6 won’t be able to blow their own glass, but they can still come along to watch. All kids - and grownups - should be well-behaved in the studio since there are glass, fire, and heavy items all around.

    Q: What about corporate events?

    A: We love to host corporate events! See the group events page for more information. about our group packages. A Group-specific FAQ is located here.

    Q: will i be in a big group of strangers?

    A: Generally, each sesh will just be a one-on-one with you (and your guests) and one of our fantastic glass blowers. depending on the day, there may be other guests working with their own glass blower in the studio at a different area. our special studio events are done as a group and are a great way to meet other people also trying this out!

    Q: what will i make?

    A: all kinds of cool options! They vary by season and location, but options include Ornaments, cups, bowls, rocker glasses, splash, orb, decanter, vase, and pumpkins. if you want to ensure a specific object will be available, please email info@redflowerstudios.com

    Q: How do i book it?

    A: On our book now page, select either the park city or salt lake city studio, and then select the approriate sesh length for all your guests to make the items they want to make. Next, you’ll choose a date and time slot. fill in your personal and payment info and you’re ready to go! If there’s six or more in your group, head on over to the group events page.

  • Q: Do I need to Sign a Waiver?

    A: Yes! You probably signed a waiver when booking, but if not, you can find it here: Waiver. If you’re attending as a group, your group coordinator probably shared this with you directly.

    Q: what should i wear for my glass blowing experience?

    A: DRESS COMFORTABLY, AND WEAR CLOSED TOED SHOES IF POSSIBLE. FOR INDIVIDUALS WHO MAY BE HEAT SENSITIVE, NATURAL FIBER CLOTHES VS. SYNTHESIS ARE BEST, AND A LONG SLEEVE SHIRT. IN GENERAL, THE EXPERIENCE IS COMFORTABLE FOR ALL GUESTS REGARDLESS OF ATTIRE!

    Q: what time should i arrive?

    A: Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time.

    Q: Will i take my item home with me right away?

    A: Your creation will need to cool slowly overnight in the studio and may require cutting or sanding after. Plan to pick up your item about 48 hours after your glass blowing session.   • Besides the products that are for sale in our studio gallery, we do a lot of custom orders and large scale projects. We specialize in blown glass, but also work in several other mediums -  woodwork, welding, etc. - and can help bring any of your designs to fruition.

  • Gift certificates can be used to buy goods made by our talented artists, or to book blow-your-own glass appointments with an experienced guide. Buy your gift certificates here.

  • We’ll be renting out space in our salt lake studio soon! you’ll need to be an experienced glassblower to work by yourself and also attend an orientation if you haven’t worked in our studio before. sign up here to be updated once this option becomes available.
